RAIN OR SHINE!.
History Started nearly a century ago the Feast of Lanterns attracted visitors from across the city to Spades Park. Newspaper articles of the day detailed that thousands of lanterns lined the pathways in the park leading to the bandstand where there was music, dancing, singing, performances and games. Fading into memory in the 1940s, the 2007 Feast marks the fifth year of this festival’s revival.
Music Live music is scheduled throughout the day including: mountain, folk and R&B. Headlining is Jennie DeVoe with the return of the eclectic Lord of the Yum Yum as emcee.
Art fair
The Feast Art Fair is organized by ArtSpace 30. Local and regional artists display their work in our outdoor gallery.
